The Impact of a choice
From laboratories, trough the ocean, crossing the penitentiary, making a stop online, ending up into the hospitals.
We are in the fastest shopping age; every minute people spend nearly one million dollars online. When we access an online shop, we make a series of quick and unconscious choices in a few seconds. Most of the online orders are the result of impulsive and non-aware actions. Is there someone that still think about what’s behind a product? How does the company manage production, what are their values? We often just don’t care. We do that “click” and forget about it as we didn’t have a role. But every click is a support, a means to join a cause. With every click, we hire people and generate profit. But who are we giving it to?
We are here to tell you what one of your “clicks” can create.
1. Starting from laboratories
U-Earth foundation is science. A group of expert biologists that have been working for years to find a solution against air contaminants. Today people are always more aware of what they eat and drink, we understood that nutrition determines our health. If we are what we eat, then we are what we breathe too. But we are not breathing good air. According to WHO, 91% of the population breath low-quality air that exceeds parameters. The pandemic then makes us reflect even more on the effect of what we don’t see that travels in the air. To face these global issues, we found a unique and innovative biotechnological system AL that capture and digest contaminants cleaning our planet. Our goal is to fight pollution giving everybody access to Pure Air. One of your clicks can support research and innovation: the first step for a better and cleaner world.
2. Swimming through the ocean
We are at U-Earth offices, it is January 2020 and the firsts huge requests arrive from China. Both concern and demand were growing fast and faster, will the virus spread throughout the globe? At the time we had U-Mask Model One and we used to produce it with a supplier that would have soon closed to produce for Italian Civil Protection only. We had to act fast and we decided to produce everything by us. The core of the product, the biolayer, was our only certainty. Then we found Econyl®, a company that use nylon wastes and regenerate it to create quality and sustainable fabrics.
Saving marine species and our environment from wastes is also a consequence of your clicks.
3. We cross the penitentiary
We decided to bring part of the production into the Carcere di San Vittore in Milan so that job and learning opportunities could have been given to support social reintegration. We think that asking for help requires courage, they say that giving help requires it too.
Your click can generate sustainable jobs supporting social reintegration and human dignity.
4. We make a stop online
U-Mask Model Two has been appreciated since the beginning. The name started to spread around the platforms. From Formula1 to the Italian National Chamber of Fashion and hundreds of models to the most known chefs and designers. All these people began to send us photos wearing U-Mask AL. It might be that they don’t know, but they have been an important piece of our puzzle.
If you are one of those, we want to thank you! Your photos have fueled a circle destined to close in hospital’s Covid departments. Your photos spread along with air quality awareness.
5. Destination: hospitals
U-Mask Model Two Project is part of U-Earth’s mission: giving every human being access to Pure Air. U-Earth operates in the field of Air Quality from more than 10 years trough it’s patented biotechnology. U-Earth’s air purifier transform contaminated air into the Pure Air of a forest, as nature would do. Making hospitals Pure Air Zones means protecting healthcare personnel and patients. Part of U-Mask Model Two proceeds are destined to our #WarToCovid L aimed to donate Air Purifiers. Some Italian hospitals such as San Raffaele, San Giuseppe, Sesto San Giovanni adopted our biotechnology with outstanding results.
Your small but great action can change our world. A click can change the world.
